This month’s issue of Up and Coming covers both November and December. I have no public appearances scheduled for November. I am using this month to spend time with family and friends (Just returned from a wonderful cruise vacation with my wife and brother and sister-in-law), to publish the new Amanda’s Room – Readers Edition (All of the materials are off to my friend and publisher, Richard LaPorta, of Husky Trail Press) and to complete work on my upcoming novel: Injured Angels (I actually finished the complete draft during vacation and will be giving copies to volunteer readers for review and comment. I also started working on the following novel, a Katie Jarvis action/adventure: The Atlantis Crossing).
December is a different story entirely. As you will see below, I am involved in a wide variety of appearances, many of which involve multiple authors and / or interesting venues. There are also discount coupons for print edition purchases and even admission to the New England Comic Con!
Once again, I value your time and if you find these monthly updates on my current activities and future plans do not interest you, just reply with “Please Remove” in the subject heading and I will be happy to remove your name from the master mailing list.
During this month of Thanksgiving I realize that I have much to be thankful for. My sincere hope is that this holiday season will also give you and yours many reasons to be thankful.
Now here’s what’s happening in December.
Catch my Ad in the Holiday Shopping insert in the Bristol Press and the New Britain Herald on the following dates: Nov 27 (Thanksgiving), Nov 30, Dec 7, 14, 21. The ads include a discount coupon for $1.00 off the price of the signed print copies. And until January 1, the price of the Ebook on Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com is only 99 cents!
Dec. 2 – 7 p.m. – E.C. Scranton Memorial Library, 801 Boston Post Road, Madison CT. I’ll be doing a brief presentation on mystery writing citing examples from popular mysteries and my own book and then selling and signing copies of Amanda’s Room. I’ll be joining three other authors including: mystery writer Michael A. Draper, painter, poet and writer Sara D. Nebel, and suspense writer Jack Smith.
Dec. 6 – 9 a.m. – Noon – Walsh’s IGA Super Market, 1786 Meriden Road, Wolcott CT. I’ll be selling and signing copies of Amanda’s Room. Walsh’s is a great hometown fixture in Wolcott.
Dec. 7 – 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. – Northeast Comic Con – Shriners Auditorium, Wilmington, MA. Comic Con is one of the largest venues in the country for all things Pop Culture. Come see some of your favorite personalities like Stargate’s Christopher Judge, Criminal Mind’s Nicholas Brandon and Hunger Games’ Mackenzie Lintz. The conference runs Saturday and Sunday. I’ll be there on Sunday selling and signing copies of Amanda’s Room along with fellow authors, Tracy Rotkiewicz, Catherine Gibson and Jason Marchi. Dec. 20 – 8 – 11 a.m. – Graces Restaurant, 1678 Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike, Milldale, CT. I’ll be selling and signing copies of Amanda’s Room. Dec. 20 – 2 – 6 p.m. – Lord and Taylor, West Farms Mall, West Hartford, CT. I’ll be selling and signing Amanda’s Room in the men’s department of this iconic department store. Four other friends and popular writers including children’s book authors Catherine Gibson and Karin Lafranc, non-fiction author Lisa G. Samia, and literary novelist, Leesa Freeman, will be in other departments throughout the store.
Dec. 21 – 10 a.m. – Noon – iDeals Outlets, 2165 Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike, Marion, CT. I’ll be selling and signing copies of Amanda’s Room. iDeals is a great place for getting both new and consignment furniture and home furnishings at discount prices. Partners Dave Cayer and (my wife) Judy Miceli are long time area residents and great business people to deal with.
Dec. 21 – 1 – 4 p.m. – Tops IGA Market, Southington, CT. I’ll be selling and signing copies of Amanda’s Room. Tops is a great place for food shopping and partners John and Betsy are amazing contributors to the vitality of many Southington events.
